ElectroSea Announces New CLEARLINE Model

ELECTROSEA ANNOUNCES NEW CLEARLINE SYSTEM
FOR YACHTS OVER 90 feet

Innovative marine growth prevention technology now available for large yachts

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (July 13, 2020) – ElectroSea, Experts in Marine Growth Prevention Systems, introduces the CLEARLINE System CL-2000 for large yachts, super yachts and vessels over 90ft (27m).

“The new CLEARLINE CL-2000 provides owners of superyachts with ElectroSea’s advanced technology to protect their vessel against unwanted marine growth in seawater pipes and strainers,” said ElectroSea CEO and President Daniel Cosentino.

CLEARLINE has been refit on more than 45 elite yacht brands including Azimut Yachts, Hargrave Custom Yachts, Horizon Yachts, Marlow Yachts, Ocean Alexander, Princess Yachts, Riva, Riviera, Viking Yachts, Westport Yachts. “The CLEARLINE CL-2000 offers vessels over 90ft a proven solution to keep their seawater systems for air conditioning, chillers and refrigeration operating at peak performance,” said Consentino.

ElectroSea introduced its innovative CLEARLINE System to prevent barnacles and biofouling in seawater lines in early 2019. Its newest model, the CLEARLINE CL-2000, accommodates a 2” seawater pump and flow rates up to 75 GPM. Multiple CLEARLINE Systems can be installed in parallel for vessels with flow rates greater than 75 GPM. ElectroSea offers five CLEARLINE models for boats 35 feet and up during new build or refit through a global dealer and OEM network.

As barnacles make their way into a boat’s raw water intake, they clog strainers and seawater pipes for air conditioners, chillers, refrigerators, and other equipment that depends on this water for cooling. The CLEARLINE System generates a low level of chlorine, similar to what you’d find in tap water, but enough to prevent barnacle growth.

The patent pending CLEARLINE System includes two key components – the Control Unit and the ClearCell — installed directly into a vessel’s seawater circuit. ClearCell electrochemically converts sodium chloride found in the seawater to chlorine. The Control Unit acts as the brain of the system and dynamically adjusts the precise amount of chlorine production to prevent barnacle growth. Chlorinated water flows through the air conditioners, refrigerators and other systems, and a secondary flow of chlorinated seawater runs back through the strainers to keep them clean longer and the systems operating at peak performance with optimal flow rates.
