ElectroSea was created in 2016 when Dr. Louis Cosentino identified “a better way” to prevent biofouling in the seawater cooled air conditioning lines on his sport fisher. Solving complex technical problems is his expertise. With more than 100 issued U.S. patents and 350+ foreign patents in medical technologies including liquid chemical sterilants, hollow fiber filtration, and remote monitoring systems, this was a problem he was determined to solve. Fast forward to today, ElectroSea is the largest provider of seawater protection systems for recreational yachts in the world. With an expert team of “old salts” who eat, sleep, and breathe boating and sport fishing, ElectroSea will improve your time on the water!
In 2017, ElectroSea revolutionized marine growth prevention with the groundbreaking ClearLine® System, protecting seawater supply lines for air conditioners, chillers, and refrigerators. We expanded our reach in 2018 by introducing new ClearLine models designed for baitwells and multiple seawater pumps. Two years later, ElectroSea unveiled the ClearVis® Flow Sensor, enabling precise and contactless flow monitoring.
The launch of the SeaStrong® sealless seawater pump series in early 2022 marked a significant leap forward in reliability. ElectroSea continued to revolutionize the industry later in the same year with the introduction of ElectroStrainer®, a breakthrough biofouling prevention and sea strainer system.
Building upon the success of the SeaStrong line, we introduced SeaStrong Silver Bullet pumps in 2023. These pumps feature a revolutionary pump head completely engineered in-house with patent-pending features based on thousands of run hours in marine vessels.
ElectroSea’s commitment to innovation extends to simplifying the user experience. In 2024, we introduced the all-in-one ElectroStrainer Pro, which streamlines installation and adds a remote display for convenient flow monitoring in the cockpit or salon, and ElectroStrainer Sport, which offers an entry-level option for self-installation.
In 2025, ElectroSea set a new standard for magnetic-drive pumps with SeaStrong Silver Bullet RDP – Run-Dry Protection, which takes run-dry protection to an entirely new level thanks to its low-friction, heat-dissipating design.
